IQ.LIGHT – LED Matrix Headlights
Even at first glance one of the options* on the Polo shines brighter than the rest – the innovative IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights. The matrix technology allows you to drive with the main beam permanently switched on without dazzling other road users*. The package includes the optional LED tail light clusters with animated brake light and integrated dynamic turn signal, which indicates the intended direction with a dynamic flowing light movement. 

Digital Cockpit
The Digital Cockpit instrument cluster shows you classic gauges such as
 speedometer and odometer as standard* on a high-resolution 20.32 cm (8 inch) colour display. The Digital Cockpit Pro allows you to arrange the 26.04 cm (10.25 inch) display to suit your individual requirements. For example, you can select a visual display of your driver assist systems or a combination of navigation map and media display – all in attractive graphics and animations.

Travel Assist
The optional Travel Assist function provides you with an extremely useful driving assistant on board.  It can keep you in your lane, maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set. Among other things, it uses adaptive lane guidance to do this. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its own lane instead of exactly in the middle.

The Exterior
With its compact dimensions and fresh design highlights, the Polo exudes personality. Its most striking feature is the front design with optional LED light strip combined with IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights between the headlamps. On closer inspection, it’s not only the choice of colour that makes it stand out so prominently, but a whole range of features through which each of the three Polo Life, Polo Style, or Polo R-Line equipment lines come into their own. Examples include decorative chrome highlights and other optional features such as a colour-contrasting roof or fog lights.

Panoramic Sunroof
With a large glass panel that stretches almost over the entire width of the roof, the optional electric tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof is an eye-catcher in itself. Not just bathing the interior with light, it offers a clear view of the sky above, and when opened lets the sunshine and fresh air in. You get to decide just how much you want: the roof can be tilted or opened completely. Meanwhile, the tinted glass and high-quality blind maintain a comfortable temperature inside the car, even in strong sunshine.

Vehicle Interior
Interiors and exteriors to take your breath away. The Polo already excites with a wide variety of equipment highlights as standard such as the driver-friendly Digital Cockpit, refreshingly cool air conditioning system and Composition radio with DAB+ digital radio reception and mobile phone interface. In addition, the Digital Cockpit Pro with customised settings, the Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system with intuitive touch button controls or background lighting are available as standard or as options depending on the equipment line.

Side & Lane Assist
Monotonous journeys can sometimes turn into dangerous situations. This is where Lane Assist comes into its own: from a speed of 60 km/h, it recognises when the vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally. Using corrective steering, it can focus the driver’s attention back on what is happening on the road.*
The optional Side Assist can warn you of dangerous lane changes. An LED indicator in the exterior mirror tells you when a vehicle is in your blind spot or approaching quickly from behind.
When you signal to change lane, Side Assist calculates whether one of these vehicles could pose a danger to you based on position or speed – and draws your attention to this by flashing conspicuously. 
Together with the lane keeping system Lane Assist, it can also provide support through corrective steering intervention.*
The Rear Traffic Alert warns about vehicles crossing your path when reversing out of a parking space. If you do not react, the system can intervene and brake the vehicle to alleviate or even prevent a collision.*

Park Assist
Not only can your Volkswagen with optional Park Assist system tell you as you drive by whether a parking space is big enough – it can also drive into the parking space for you.
Up to a speed of 40 km/h, Park Assist permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 20 km/h it also searches for parking bays. Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you start the parking process, with Park Assist taking over the steering. You just need to operate the accelerator and brake and monitor the process. 

Park Assist can also drive the vehicle out of parallel parking spaces again.*

Proactive Occupant Protection System
The optional proactive occupant protection system can detect precarious situations with the potential to cause an accident and automatically take precautions depending on the situation.*

• Windows and sliding sunroof are closed to a crack to optimise the effect of the airbags
• The front seat belts are tightened in the blink of an eye to secure the driver and front passenger in their seats
• The rear hazard warning lights are activated.
