Convenient and faster charging
When you charge your battery, you can expect shorter charging times thanks to DC fast charging. The battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes at a moderate outside temperature and with a charging power of up to 40 kW. In addition to efficient DC fast charging, AC charging is an attractive option for charging your battery. With an increased charging power to 11kW, you can fully charge the battery from 0 to 100% in around 2 hours and 30 minutes, providing a convenient and time-saving solution. Getting far with electric on a purely electric basis, the Golf eHybrid has a range of up to 100 km.If you decelerate while driving, i.e. slow down or roll, the battery recharges a bit. This process, called recuperation, gives you more range as you drive.
Power unfolded
In the e-TSI with mild hybrid technology, a starter generator assists the engine at start-up and at slow speed. Braking and rolling is used to charge the lithium-ion battery. This significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
